|-Of Mice and Men-|

Theme #1)            In this novel it is explained that "having someone" is weaved constantly through out this novel. I do agree this is extremely important to everybody, not matter who they are. You can never stand alone in life, you need a break once in a while, you will always need some one there to lean on. That person can be just about any one too, you can find a true friend at school, at home, or while you are playing a sport. It just takes a heart to find the strength to help those with special needs.
I think just about anyone can agree that with out someone it's like, a blind man going through a street, tripping and scrimmaging through the trash and dust, just trying to find his way. That just keeps going on to you until someone passes by that is kind enough to be there for you and guide you through that time. When you have someone your view upon the world in front of you changes. There are many characters in this story that show the importance of this. Lennie and George are the best example of this, because if Lennie didn't have George to lean on he probably wouldn't be in such a good position at the time. Well, what about Curley's wife; she is trying to find someone that cares for her. She was looking for some to lean on. Crooks, Candy, Curley's Wife, and Lennie they all needed, or found someone to lean on, each of need someone though. I mean there are people that need some more than others, just so they can find their way.

Character #1)          Ahhhh...George, he is the most complex and interesting person throughout the story. He has the strong commitment, determination, and a care for himself and those around him. Like him taking care of Lennie, he looks out for himself and Lennie trying to reach their goal together. He'll keep an eye out for trouble, even when he is focused on something else. He is fatherly, and kind to Lennie, even though he causes quite a bit of trouble.
He is very determined and dedicated to his work. Trying to get every penny to buy that land. He will take any extra work that comes his way, and will try his best to finish it. He'll do great at every place he works. However once they start getting settled, Lennie gets them into trouble again, so they run off and look for another job.He might get frustrated with Lennie, but he can never be mad for long at such a nice fella.
At first in this story, he is like a bomb with a cut fuse at first. Where he is frustrated with Lennie easily. Unlike later in the story, George is gentler and a kind fellow. He seems to have more of a feeling for others and what they have to do with, but does not let his guard down. He takes a slow transition trying to correct Lennie's mistakes and being a better friend to him. George always tries his best to fix every mistake, and gives them the best possible solution to the issue despite the consequences.

Plot #1)      This week in Soledad, two people where murdered. One was a large man, and the other a young lady.  The young lady was killed by getting a broken neck, from the apparent other murdered man. Once this madam was found the man was long gone, starting a man hunt at the time. Later after a few hours, as reported, the man named by, Lennie Small, was found, and executed at gun point. They both where given funerals here at town. The man that killed Lennie Small, was George Milton, he was not charged with anything since Lennie's charge was going to be death anyhow. What will happen next no one knows, but we will be sure to report any information from this ranch in the upcoming weeks.
